How to reach
Murguma Eco Hut is very easily accessible by Train, by Road, by Air or by Bus services. There are plenty of easy options to reach from Kolkata, Durgapur, Asansol, Jamshedpur and Ranchi.
By Train
The Rupasi Bangla train is available early morning that traverses between Kolkata and Purulia. The train reaches Purulia around 12:30 pm. From Purulia Station, you can hire a car and reach Muruguma. You need to avail the Ranchi road and travel to Muruguma, via Begunkodar. The distance is around 45 kilometers and it takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can also travel to Muruguma by availing a train from Kolkata’s Howrah Station to Jharkhand’s Muri Station. From Muri Station, Muruguma is situated at a distance of 35 kilometers. You can also reach Muruguma from Jhalda Station.

By Road
A trip is approximately 340-380 km depending upon the route you want to take.
From 2nd Hooghly bridge the travel time is 6-7 hrs ( with 2 stops) depending upon the traffic and speed.
Route 1 : Kolkata – Durgapur – Bankura – Purulia (DM Bunglow More) – Tata Road (Tamna More) – Begun Kodar – Muruguma (Most recommended route from Kolkata)
Route 2 : Kolkata – Durgapur – Bankura – Purulia (DM Bunglow More) – Jhalda via Ranchi Road – Jhalda – Begun Kodar – Muruguma
Route 3 : Kolkata – Asansol – Dishergarh – Raghunathpur – Purulia – Tamna More (Tata Road) – Begun Kodor – Murguma
Route 4 : Kolkata – Kharagpur – Jhargram – Jhilimili – Barabazar – Tamna More (Purulia Tata Road) – Begun Kodor – Murguma
Route 5 : Kolkata – Bishnupur – Bankura Bypass – Purulia (DM Bunglow) – Tata Road (Tamna More) – Begun Kodar – Muruguma
By Air
The nearest airport is in Ranchi (Capital of Jharkhand). It is a 3 hours drive from Ranchi.
By Bus
A weekend trip to Purulia is also possible by taking a bus from Kolkata, Durgapur, Asansol, Jamshedpur and Ranchi. There are regular AC bus services of South Bengal State Transport, Department for Purulia town, from Kolkata.
Station & Airport Transfer
We will arrange for your pick-up and drop, by car, from/to the railway stations of Purulia, Muri or Jhaldah, with separate charges. Same will be arranged if you are planning your trip to us by air, via Ranchi.
Check-in & Check-out Time
The check-in time at Murguma Eco Hut is 11 noon and check-out time is 10am.
